Tuscan Twilight
Returning clients of Johanci asked her to create a painting for them in celebration of their wedding anniversary
The scene is the view from their wedding venue Agriturismo I Cedri Barga in Tuscany
overlooking the beautiful medieval town of Barga
The palette was to be similar to “The View” a bespoke set of paintings set in the Cape Winelands which they visited previously, liked and found similarity with Tuscany. Their painting would be uniquely theirs taking inspiration from their venue, colours from nature in Tuscany and taking their living room decor into consideration
Johanci so loved working on this bespoke painting for many months, from initial discussions, planning and painting to the final product.
Impasto painting technique is used, combining acrylic paints and heavy body acrylic gels.
