Johanci is a contemporary abstract artist based in the Buckinghamshire countryside, creating original paintings inspired by light, nature and the every day. Rich in texture, colour and movement, each piece is designed to bring warmth, individuality and lasting beauty to the spaces in which it lives.

Born and educated in South Africa before moving to the UK in 2000, creativity has always been part of Johanci's life. With an established artist as her father, she developed an early love of painting before specialising in large-scale scenic art and completing her Theatre Crafts Technology qualification with an internship in scenic painting and prop making at London's National Theatre.
After a successful career in London's residential property sector, Johanci returned to painting full-time in 2020, following her lifelong passion for creating original artwork.
Working intuitively from her studio, she draws inspiration from nature, architecture, travel and the ever-changing qualities of light. She enjoys building each painting through layers of colour and texture, allowing every piece to evolve naturally until it feels complete.
Each original painting is created to become a lasting focal point—bringing beauty, depth and conversation to the homes and spaces it inhabits.
