Island Sunset
A returning collector client commissioned a painting for her husband's 50th birthday.
Johanci was thrilled to create "Island Sunset" for her clients, which depicted their love of the sea. The colour palette was agreed based upon vibrant colours from sunsets at their favourite holiday spot, as photographed by their children. A personal painting of the client was also referenced, which made this such a personal project with sentimental meaning to them.
Johanci felt particularly honoured to be entrusted with creating this everlasting memory on canvas. All was kept top secret for many months, as work and discussions followed on "Project Sunset" as it was known.
Various & vibrant shades of sunset hues and aqua were used alongside gold, silver and iridescent pearl.
Impasto painting technique is used, combining acrylic paints and gels with framing being left as optional.
