Return to Lavrio
Johanci loves creating bespoke paintings as it takes her on a journey with who she works with. When friends of her's commission bespoke paintings, it becomes particularly special and very personal to Johanci too.
Her friends Sophie & Jamie have been keen supporters of her art and chatted to her over the years about a painting for their lounge once renovation work on their @noble_1930s_reno is complete & when their blue sofas had arrived.
It was no surprise that they wanted a seascape as Johanci have come to know them as a family who loves the coast. Always fun to agree what shade of blue the water will be! The scope also included matching their new lounge interior and a gorgeous original seascape painted by Jamie's aunt.
By the time Johanci started painting she knew how ill Jamie was as he was fighting bowel cancer. Unfortunately, Jamie passed away on 16th September - the same day Johanci completed their painting.
He didn’t get so see it, but it now hangs pride of place in their family home. The family decided to call it “Return to Lavrio”, a fitting tribute to Jamie who you can see here at his final sailing trip with choppy seas & the colours of the water an exact match to their painting🌊
With sincerest condolences from Johanci & family to the Noble family. Her wish is that “Return to Lavrio” brings some comfort and an everlasting memory of this family holiday & Jamie's sailing.
